This project was done in collaboration with the South Dakota Peace and Justice Center, who assisted in selection of the 15 individuals of the various religions. I traveled throughout the state interviewing and photographing the participants. The 2’ X 2’ mixed media on canvas portraits were then produced in my studio. The interviews are filled with wisdom and warmth. A book version of the project has been published (portraits in black and white). It is out of print but used copies can be found.
